Welcome to Los Padillas Elementary!
Los Padillas Elementary School was first established in 1901 as a county school and became part of APS in 1965. Los Padillas received a MSAP grant in 2023 to be part of Sustaining the Future a Magnet school Environmental Science Pathway.

Big 3 Expectations
The Big 3 Expectations are part of our school’s Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) they help develop critical thinking skills and encourage a growth mindset.

Dual Language
Los Padillas Elementary is a Dual Language immersion school, offering a 50/50 model in English and Spanish for Kindergarten through 5th grade. Students become bilingual, biliterate, and culturally aware, gaining skills to thrive in a diverse, global society.
Los Padillas Outdoor Sanctuary
In this 5 acre outdoor learning laboratory, students embrace outdoor spaces as valuable extensions of the classroom. Students are led by our Environmental Educator through different areas of the sanctuary expanding learning beyond classroom walls.
Environmental STEM
We offer STEM focused thematic instruction through hands-on projects focused on sustainability, conservation, and environmental stewardship. Activities include garden projects, recycling initiatives, and exploring sustainable technologies such as renewable energy.

Los Padillas ES is a part of the Sustaining the Future Environmental Science Pathway including Mountain View ES, Polk MS, & Rio Grande HS.
